Porcelain Veneer Implant Operation

Instant Porcelain Veneer Subsequent to Flapless Implant Operation

This is the process of installing a temporary porcelain crown following a simple laser implant performed in single tooth loss cases. After taking measurements, a fixed porcelain prosthesis is prepared in the same day of the operation or within the following week. Additional treatment planning can be made such as refraining chewing with the installed veneer for a while. Your surgeon will decide the best course of action for you to follow in the post-operation phase. Among the fixed prosthesis, those with colors that are closest to natural teeth are porcelain, zirconium, or laminated veneers. Porcelain prosthesis can be made with metal cores or fully porcelain (non-metal), zirconium cores can be used for increased durability. For veneers over implants, both metal core porcelain and porcelain core zirconium cores can be used. While some would think that they would experience problems while chewing hard thing based on common porcelains, these materials are purpose built to be able to chew hard foods.

What are the advantages of Instant Porcelain Veneer Implants?

  • There’s no need to wait for months to get implant
  •  top porcelains.
  • There may be no need for periodical visits to jaw surgeon to complete the implant process.
  • Partial recovery of comfortable chewing is regained in a shorter period.
  • They have quite good in terms of light refraction; they look similar to real teeth and are aesthetically similar.
  • Resistant to hard impacts, to materials such as chewing gum and high temperatures.
  • There are no complications between gum tissue and adapt quite easily.
  • The bolts placed on jaw bone is not visible from the outside, the veneers placed on top of these bolts look just like natural teeth from outside.
  • They don’t cause gum problems, halitosis (bad breath) or loss in sense of taste.
  • This operation can be performed on both frontal and back teeth with no visibility, and the teeth can be used just normally following operation.

How is the operation performed?

This operation is performed with latest technology devices and with different processes than usual, while the porcelain structure is built with computer assisted design and manufacturing technology, produced by laboratory grade milling machines in hygienic conditions with zero error tolerance; the end product is a high quality, precise dental prosthesis.

What consideration must be made for the process?

Before deciding on what type of prosthesis will be placed upon the implant, the patient’s mouth must be examined to determine compatibility. The results determine which type of prosthesis will be better suited for the task, and depending on the mouth structure of the patient, the option of porcelain on top of implant is considered. The number of teeth in the mouth, the density of bone and soft tissue and patient’s age and financial means are taken into consideration, which may affect the type of veneer to be used.

How goes the process of veneer on top of implant for single tooth?

This process is performed when the patient is missing a single tooth, where an implant is placed in the gap without disturbing nearby teeth. Porcelain veneer is applied on top of this implant. The implants placed below the porcelain crown serves only as the dental root. Many people prefer their veneers to be non-metal porcelain, zirconium or laminated to look natural and have natural refracting

How is this process performed in Free end situations?

Cases where there are no more teeth behind the removed tooth, or in cases where multiple neighboring teeth are missing are called free end toot loss. In such situations, two or more implants are placed and a porcelain bridge is applied on top. In cases where more than 2 teeth is missing, there’s no need to replace an implant for every missing tooth, one implant for the beginning and one for the end of the row would suffice for a porcelain bridge application.
