Chemicals used in Teeth Whitening
The chemicals carbamide peroxide and hydrogen peroxide are usually used in teeth whitening. These chemicals are similar in function, but different brands use the one that suits their purpose. Hydrogen peroxide is usually used in clinical whitening procedures, while carbamide peroxide is preferred in home-made treatments.
Processes of Teeth Whitening
- Removal of food particles and bacteria from the tooth surface, the enamel is brushed with special pastes.

- Cleaning: Teeth are cleaned as the session ends. If deemed necessary, the process is repeated again.
